Welcome to week one of my new PERMA series to help you all through this time of social isolation.

So, what are emotions? This question could be answered in many ways from the biological perspective of chemical messengers to the psychology behind our thought processes. Fundamentally, they are a 'feeling' that is communicating something to you. Even negative emotions such as anger have a purpose; to fight against injustice. Self-awareness is key here and therefore emotional literacy will be explored during this week.

Over the next few days I will be introducing and discussing the below subjects (not necessarily in this order);

1. Broaden and Build theory

2. Positive posture and the effect it has on our wellbeing.

3. Emotional literacy

4. Activity scheduling

5. Discussing emotions with children

I will then be leading a Facebook Live session on Monday 6th April at 8pm. Positive Emotions will be discussed and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Please check back on my website daily as I will be adding various relevant information regularly.

I hope you enjoy and that I am able to provide you with some techniques that will help you.
